In V.connct meetings, the Moderator plays a key role in supporting the Host by managing users, enforcing meeting discipline, and ensuring smooth interaction. While they don’t have full Host powers, Moderators have elevated access compared to regular attendees or presenters.

This article outlines all the permissions available to a Moderator, including how they interact with different user roles inside the meeting.

This article includes the following topics:

  • Accessing Moderator controls during a meeting

  • What Moderators can do when interacting with the Host

  • Managing other Moderators (assigning roles, muting, demoting, etc.)

  • Moderator permissions on Presenters during a session

  • Full control actions Moderators can take on Attendees

Accessing Moderator Controls
  • While in a meeting, open the Participants Panel.
  • After opening the Participants Panel, click on the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the name of the participant you want to manage, whether it's a Host, Moderator, Presenter, Attendee, or even yourself, to reveal the moderator controls available for that specific role.

 Moderator Permissions on the Host

Moderators have limited interaction with the Host. When they open the menu for the Host, the only available option is:

4) Demote Moderator – Revoke their Moderator role and return them to a regular user.

5) Remove [User] – Remove them entirely from the meeting.

Moderator Permissions on Presenters

Moderators can take action on Presenters as follows:

1) Open Private Chat – Communicate directly.
