How to access User’s Settings in V.connct desktop

This feature allows you to view and manage another user's settings within the application.

This article offers a step-by-step guide for Hosts and Moderators.

 [Desktop]

  • While in a meeting, open the Participants Panel.
  • Click on the three-dot menu (⋮), after opening the Participants Panel, next to the name of the participant you want to manage, whether it's a Host, Moderator, Presenter, Attendee, or even yourself, to reveal the controls available for that specific role.

A menu will appear:


1) Open Private Chat: Send a direct message with someone in the meeting.


2) Assign / Reclaim Presenter: Grant or remove a participant's ability to share their screen and use the whiteboard.


3) Mute Microphone: To mute the mic of this certain participant.


4) Manage Permissions: Control what users can do during the meeting and their access.


5) Promote/Demote Moderator: Give a participant full moderator access or remove it.


6) Remove Participant: Remove someone from the meeting.
To manage the user permission:
  • Click on “Manage permissions”.


In the new tab, you can turn the following on or off:


1) Allow Microphone: Enable or disable the participant’s ability to use their microphone.


2) Allow Sharing Camera: Allow the participant to share their video.


3) Allow Viewing Other Cameras: Permit the user to see other participants’ video streams.


4) Allow Seeing Other Participants: Controls whether the user can see who else is in the meeting.


5) Allow Changing Display Name: Enables the user to edit their display name during the session.


6) Allow Raising Hand: Lets the participant raise their hand to request to speak or interact.


7) Allow Reactions/Emojis: Grants the user the ability to use emoji reactions during the meeting.


8) Allow Viewing Chat: Gives the user access to view the public chat panel.


9) Allow Sending Chat Messages: Enables the participant to send messages in the group chat.


10) Allow Private Chat Messages: Allows the user to send and receive private messages with other attendees or moderators.


11) Allow Viewing Shared Notepad: Grants permission to view collaborative notes during the meeting.


12) Allow Editing Shared Notepad: Lets the user actively write or edit within the shared notepad.


13) Allow Drawing on Whiteboard: Enables the participant to draw on the shared whiteboard.


14) Allow Screen Sharing: Grants the ability to share their screen with others in the meeting.


15) Allow Sending Files: Lets the participant upload and share files within the meeting.


16) Allow Recording: Controls whether the user is allowed to start a recording session.
